The benefits of getting involved in the Award at any level are endless. Aside from receiving a globally recognized recognition, the Award is about helping you along the path to a productive and prosperous future. In the words of one of our Gold Award holders, “the Award is an experience that will last for a lifetime” (click HERE to read)
Achieving an Award will give you skills, confidence and an edge over others when you apply for university, scholarships or job opportunities both within and outside the country.
Participating in the Award helps you to develop the wider ‘soft‘ or ‘core’ skills – such as resilience, adaptability, problem solving, decision making and communication – which are valued by employers and will help ensure you are ready for the world. Your Award is a fantastic way to demonstrate and evidence these skills in practice.
Beyond the global recognition, the Award will help you develop practical skills which will inspire young people to set up their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.
You will also make a difference in other people’s lives and your community, be fitter and healthier, make new friends and have memories to last you a lifetime.
When you complete the Award requirement for any of the three levels, you would receive an invitation to an Award Presentation Ceremony where you would receive the prestigious Award founded by HRH, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
In addition to receiving your Award, you will have the privilege to become part of the Nigeria Award Holders Association and the Global Award Alumni Network which consist of Award recipients from over 144 nations. Recipient as a member, will have the opportunity to network and build relationships that will produce a better future.
NOTE: Bronze and Silver Award Presentation ceremonies are usually held locally while the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony is a National event which is usually hosted by the Presidency.
