The role of the Award Trainer is to deliver high-quality training to adults involved in delivering the Award across various states in Nigeria. This includes ensuring that the appropriate training is delivered and offered to all adults involved in the Award.
• To deliver training from the Award’s training framework to adult volunteers across various states in Nigeria, ensuring that they receive a high-quality experience.
• To actively contribute to discussions around the identification of new training courses.
• To collaborate with the other members of the National Training panel to ensure that sufficient training opportunities are available to learners at times that best suit their needs.
• To support the NAO by identifying any programme quality assurance issues that become apparent during training and feeding this back
• Persons must have completed the New Award Leaders Training and the Adventurous Journey Supervisors and Assessors Training.
• Must have completed the Award Induction, Award Delivery and Adventurous Journey Pre-learning courses on the Award community.
• Must be actively involved in the delivery of the Award at an Award Centre for at least three years.
• Must have a passion for the development of adults, and must be an enthusiastic and authentic ambassador for the Award.
• Must have experience of developing and implementing training experiences for adult learners, and experience of delivering adult training or similar experiences both physically and virtually.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Recognition as a certified Award Trainer.
• Become a member of the International Award for Young People Nigeria’s National Training Panel.
• Opportunity to facilitate training around Nigeria in an agreed timely manner.
• Honorarium and logistics for facilitating training and reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses.
• Opportunity to become a member of the Global Training Panel.
• Opportunity to collaborate and engage on national projects across various states in Nigeria on behalf of the Award.
