MR. A. OLAWALE EDUN

With nearly forty years of finance related work experience Wale Edun has a background in economics, public finance, international finance, merchant banking and corporate finance at both national and international levels. Wale is the Chairman of Lagos investment Bank Chapel Hill Denham Group, following the merger of the financial advisory and asset management company he founded and once led, Denham Management Limited, with Chapel Hill Advisory Partners Limited. The firm has several times been voted the best investment bank in Nigeria and best advisory firm in Africa, by Euromoney. Prior to this, he was twice appointed Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State between 1999 and 2004. In Government, he spearheaded the revival and expansion of the sub-sovereign government bond market with a landmark multi-year bond issuance series, by Lagos State Government in 2002. In addition, he was an Executive Director, heading Corporate Finance and Treasury, at Lagos merchant bank, Investment Banking & Trust Company Limited, now Stanbic IBTC. His experience includes working for the World Bank/International Finance Corporation in Washington DC, USA which he entered through the highly selective Young Professionals Program. In this role he was involved in large-scale macroeconomic and sectoral advisory assignments and negotiations, in India, the Caribbean and East Asia, amongst others. Prior to this,he worked at Chase Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited and NAL Merchant Bank Limited. He served as Chairman of STL Trustees Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading trust companies. He established Global Credit Ratings Nigeria Limited, now a subsidiary of private equity giant Carlyle and, one of the country’s leading credit ratings and research firms; and he currently Chairs the Board of Trustees of the US$1 billion Ogoni Trust Fund, for the environmental clean-up of Ogoniland.He has made various contributions to the institutional strengthening of the capital market including serving on a committee that drew up new Listing Requirements for The Nigerian Stock Exchange and co-chairing the SEC committee that initiated the setting up of the National Association of Securities Dealers and the Over-the-Counter Securities market. Wale is an International Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation and Chairman of Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame, a registered non-profit youth development organization he set up, that runs amateur boxing in Lagos and other states in conjunction with the state Amateur Boxing Associations. He is also involved with other not-for-profit organisations. He obtained his Masters Degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, Brighton, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London. He is married with three children

MRS. DANIELLA ANWULI UIJLENHOED

Daniella Obiesie-Uijlenhoed is currently a Director & Partner in Danicees FZ which is an oil & gas servicing company based in Nigeria & the UAE. Born in Nigeria and having her formal education in the same country Daniella has a Master’s degree in Business Administration & a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar. Her first degree is from the University Of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. Daniella started work in Corporate Nigeria after NYSC in 1997 in the banking industry. Her work experiences include positions in Federal Mortgage Finance, New Nigeria Bank & Zenith Bank PLC where she left at mid-management level to join Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company in 2005 in the Corporate Affairs team as a stakeholder management liaison between SNEPCo and NNPC/NAPIMS on the Bonga South West project. She would later move to the Contracting team as Head, Office Services and her job role spanned across the processes & subsequent approvals through the various team lines of all SNEPCo office contracts in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, & Warri. In 2009, marriage took Daniella to live and work in the UAE. She took a hiatus from Shell Nigeria and worked in Oman Oryx Construction Company a contractor company with interests in the Middle East and the biggest industrial catering contractor to Shell Oman. Daniella was Head of Corporate Services and handled all permits and stakeholder management engagements between her company and the Ministry of Energy & Minerals in Oman. Daniella relocated back to Nigeria in 2012 and resumed work in Shell Nigeria where she worked in the strategy & portfolio team for SNEPCo office & governance policies until her voluntary leaving from Shell in 2015 to join her husband in Danicees and focus on her family. Daniella is passionate about the formal & non-formal development of young people in Nigeria and is currently a Trustee of the International Award for Young People Nigeria since 2018. The International Award for Young People Nigeria is part of a global framework (The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award) with a presence in 130 countries and territories around the world. Daniella views herself as a team player dedicated to personal delivery and organizational goals. Views external relationships as the key enabler to corporate success. A diverse and high-energy individual who uses her exceptional interpersonal skills to generate value for the organization and its stakeholders. A hands-on person who balances the strategic agenda with the requirement to deliver optimally.

MRS. FOLAKE ELIZABETH FAWUNMI

Folake Elizabeth Fawunmi holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She thereafter qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She worked for many years as a lawyer in corporate Nigeria, including with UAC of Nigeria Plc, Unilever, Nigerian Breweries Ltd, Vono Nigeria Ltd. etc. She was also a special adviser at a law firm in the UK, focused on Family and Immigration law. She also worked at Amnesty International in London, and held Senior management positions at Chams Nigeria Plc. She has worked closely with children in Vienna where she lived for eight years, assisting with developing learning programmes at The Vienna International School. Folake has a strong passion for children’s educational and development issues. She is the Co-Founder of Star Scholar Naija, an intellectually competitive children’s reality TV show, which aired on DSTV. She was the Founder of Hope For You Development Foundation, a registered NGO that worked with inner-city children in Ibadan, Nigeria—and also Climate Smart Club. Her faith in God and her successful, positively-minded children motivate and inspire her.

MR. ABDULRAHMAN SAMBO

Mr. Abdulrahman Lawal Sambo is an alumni of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria (BSc Accounting). He is currently a senior legislative aide to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representative. He has a background in Nigeria’s banking industry with over a decade cognate experience as a Marketing sales executive and business development expert. He possesses a track record in fund management for organizations - private and public, at federal and state levels to drive growth and development. Mr. Abdulrahman is a fellow of Pension Institute of Nigeria and was a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council 2019.

MRS. EFUNIKE ANIMASHAWUN

Mrs. Efunike is a lawyer. She was called to the Bar in Nigeria and in England. Having gained valuable training and experience in leading law firms, she went on to establish a boutique practice that is engaged in Private Clients work. Her work often extends to legal services for clients’ business and professional affairs as well as legal matters related to their personal assets. She enjoys working closely with clients. Beyond the legal profession, Mrs. Efunike has always maintained a keen interest in humanitarian matters. She commits time to mentoring and rendering support to young adults. She sits on the board of a few organizations and has benefitted tremendously from past experiences on other board.

DR. BABAJIDE AGUNBIADE, FNSE

Babajide Agunbiade, Ph.D., FNSE, COREN, FIISE, FSUT, MBA, is an Engineer, businessman, and philanthropist who is one of 13 subject matter experts globally in subsea production systems as of 2021. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Energy Resources, a leading Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction, and Commissioning (EPICC) service provider in the Oil and Gas sector of Sub-Sahara Africa. Before that, he had a 25-year stellar career in corporate America at General Electric (G.E.) and National Oilwell Varco (NOV). While at NOV, he was General Manager for Africa and Golf Of Mexico and later became Director of Business Development for the Subsea Production System business group. NOV is an American conglomerate that is the largest worldwide provider of equipment and components used in Oil and Gas drilling and production operations. As director of business development, he was involved in virtually all the shallow and deepwater projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Gulf of Mexico and completed over 2 billion USD in offshore production projects. Prior to joining NOV, Agunbiade was for a decade variously Principal Engineer at General Electric (G.E.) Gasification Business Unit and the Managing Director of G.E. Power and Gasification for West Africa. As Principal Engineer of the G.E. Gasification business group, he led the team that designed the 618-megawatt Integrated gasification in combined cycle (IGCC) plant at Duke Energy’s Edwardsport Station in Knox County, Indiana. The 618-megawatt IGCC facility is the largest IGCC plant, the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power plant in the world. It emits less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates than the plant it replaces – while providing more than ten times the number of megawatt-hours. Dr. Agunbiade graduated with a combined honors degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He is an accomplished Engineer who attended the GE Edison Advanced Engineering Development Program (EEDP) in Crotonville, N.Y. and gained a master’s degree in systems engineering. He is G.E. green and black belt certified. He holds an MBA from the American Intercontinental University (AIU) in Houston, Texas, a Master Of Arts degree in organizational management, and a Ph.D. in leadership and Business from Higher Place Christian University (HPCU) Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a Ph.D. scholar in Environmental Policy at Texas Southern University. Dr. Babajide Agunbiade is a recipient of the Certificate of U.S. Congressional Recognition conferred on behalf of the United States Congress in recognition of his scholarly, business, and philanthropic contributions globally. He is also a U.N. Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and a world Fellow of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
