The Nigerian Award Holders Association will be the alumni body for all Award holders in Nigeria and it will be affiliated with the Global Award Alumni Network of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
The Association aims at creating a community where Award holders can further learn, network and connect with other Award holders in Nigeria and around the world, have access to largescale opportunities available in the Award through our partnerships, and use their Award experience to help today’s young people who are currently participating in the Award by sharing impact stories and providing mentorship.
Kindly note that the Nigerian Award Holders Association will be all-inclusive for individuals who have attained one or more Award(s) Levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (at either Bronze, Silver or Gold Levels), from either The Nigerian National Youth Award or The International Award for Young People Nigeria or from any other country as provided by the constitution which was developed in the by a committee comprising of Award Holders from the Nigerian National Youth Award and the International Award for Young People Nigeria. The role of Secretary is designated to a staff of the International Award for Young People Nigeria who will help promote correspondence between the Alumni and the National Award Office. Interested Award Holders that may be interested in being part of the interim committee are encouraged to study the alumni constitution and send in a note of interest as well as an updated CV to alumni@intaward.org.ng on or before Friday the 14th of April 2023.
All applications will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees and the approved committee would be communicated by the 1st of May 2023.
3. Alumni Management via a single platform – To ensure that communication is maintained and sustained with all registered and verified members of the association, there is the need to migrate all members to a single platform (this also includes sustaining any existing platform provided that admin rights and access are not restricted). This can be currently maintained via WhatsApp, however, in line with the sustained growth and expansion of the Award, other platforms will be proposed by the interim committee that would be inaugurated.
We once again congratulate all AWARD HOLDERS for their resilience and determination toward the achievement of their Award.
We look forward to your engagement, involvement, and contribution toward the establishment and management of the Nigerian Award Holders Association.
