Digitalization Project

The Digitalization project was launched in 2021 to foster the accessibility of Award participants in participating government schools in Nigeria to the internet to be able to record their Award progress and achievements online via the Online Record Book (ORB) – which is the electronic platform for capturing Award participants’ activities like their counterparts from over 130 countries where the Award operates.

Over 100 government schools in Lagos and the FCT currently delivering the Award have benefited from this project with more government schools across other states in Nigeria soon to benefit as well.

The Digitalization of the delivery of the Award in public secondary schools aims at strengthening access to IT equipment and internet access for the participants and Award Leaders in these schools thereby providing them with the tools to access the ORB, monitor their participant’s progress and support us in engaging more participants.

This project will help to improve and create a consistent Award experience for all participants and Award volunteers in public schools through increasing access to the Online Record Book (ORB), ensuring that each school has at least a functional IT device in place and sufficient internet access for recording Award activities. It will also ensure that participants are in tune with the current realities of education delivered through technology.
